"He can call me a flower if he wants to....

These are some of the flowers in our front yard. Again the sun was a little to bright for the boys.

Easter Pictures

I know a little late but thought you may want to see them anyway! Here are my two cuties on Easter Sunday, sorry but Preston hates the sun in his eyes.We did our baskets and our egg hunt on Saturday at the same time we had a garage sale, we are multi-taskers!

For as long as I can remember I have had one of these in my basket, so the tradition lives on. Look at the excitement.
The best part of the bunny is biting of the ears, who cares about the rest.

Myrtle Beach

Over Conference Weekend( for non-mormons, every 6 months the church does a world wide conference that is broadcasted. It is a chance to listen to our leaders) we went to Myrtle Beach with some friends. Our thought process was that we could take turns babysitting so that we could enjoy some of the conference. Here are some pictures ........

We're becoming one of them

Yesterday Garett and I went on a date. Later on I was talking to my sister and when I told her what we did she laughed because it was so "romantic". Without thinking I said that we like to do what the locals do. My sister pointed out how true that was-While in Canada we went to museums and plays, now that we are here in the south we go to an indoor range to shoot our guns!! Whatever, it was a lot of fun and just so everybody knows I got more bulls eyes then Garett.

On that same note, my child says ya'll. Spencer says it all the time. I couldn't figure out where he got that from because he doesn't spend a whole lot of time with true southerners. Then I dropped him off at nursery at church and his teacher said "I'm going get ya'll". She is a true southern bell and she speaks the native tougne. I never really thought he would learn so much at nursery.

The Domestic Goddess

Since the 1950s, the role of the housewife has change due to the introduction of appliances. Now a days the ability to be a good housewife is dependent on your appliances or lack there of. So if a certain housewife is forced to be without certain appliances then she cannot be blamed if nothing is done at the end of the day. Elbow grease is not made or used these days!
About 2 1/2 weeks ago our dish washer started to leak, after a week the repair man declared it dead. That night a homedepot worked twisted the knife when she told me that they didn't have the one that we wanted in and it would be awhile. "It is ok" I told myself I can handle doing dishes by hand for awhile, even though I HATE doing the dishes.
The next day our washing machine started to shake, a lot. So I figured it was just unbalanced and told Garett. I then waited a few days for him to have time to look at it with me. Then waited for a week for the repair man to come and tell me that it would cost more to repair it then it was worth, then we went out of town for the weekend. By the time I got home and realized how much Landry had built up I started to have a panic attack. What if the washer wasn't in like the dish washer? I ran to homedepot!!!
I now have a new washer and a new dish washer and no money to feed my children-but they will have clean underwear!
I have resumed my rein as Domestic Goddess.
ps- Last month our water heater went out, what is up with our luck, thankfully we have home insurance!
