As most of you know, every year I do something slightly over the top for Garett's birthday. Usually it involves something embarrassing. However, this year I gave him everything he wished for and more. I gave him a guys day, without embarrassment. It started in the morning playing some ball with his friends.
After that he went to the range with some different friends. Sorry the picture is side ways. After shooting he got to go to his favorite restaurant again with guy friends. And afterwards got to have his first cake.
Following lunch he went golfing with another friend. His shoulder is still sore.
After golfing he was supposed to take a nap. I took our hammock to the woods by our house. I didn't have enough rope to put it up correctly so I left it there thinking Garett could put it up the right way. When he went to the woods 2 hours later, the hammock was gone. So sad huh? Because of all that he didn't get to have a nap. Super sad huh?
Next he took his best guy friends (Preston and Spencer) ever to play video games and eat some Pizza.
Garett's Birthday Breakfast Cake. WE love March Madness.
When Garett was younger he had a favorite stuffed animal call "Ricky the Raccoon". However, it got lost over the years. When Preston found out it was lost, he wanted to know how. Garett said it was accidentally thrown away during a move. Having seen Toy Story 3, Preston then assumed that the toy was ground up into tiny pieces and burned to ash (like the garbage in the movie), so he thought Garett was sad about this and decided that he would get dad a new Ricky. He wrapped this all by himself.
Happy Birthday Garett!!
Medical school is finally starting to make him look his age... ;-)

Mallory's Birthday Photo Shoot
This is the bow that I made all by myself. I am really proud of it. It matches her little birthday dress perfectly. I think it is super cute too.
Look at those eyes. Such a pretty little girly.
Thank you Stephanie's Mom for buying this birthday dress. It is perfect.

She is ONE!!

I wanted to have a little party for Mallory's Birthday but it seemed like everything I wanted to do wouldn't work out for one reason or another. So what did this little one year old do to celebrate her birthday......

She got a really cool toy for her brothers to play with and they even let her play with part of it.
Then we had our traditional cake for breakfast. Um, I think she enjoyed this.I HELPED them take the cushions off the couch so they could jump. Mallory really does love doing this and of course I hate it because it makes such a mess of their room and they never want to put it back together but it was her birthday. After this we got dressed and went and had her pictures taken, which I will post as soon as I can scan them. Another Jackson tradition is picking where you want to go for dinner. Technically we went out to dinner for her birthday on Monday(after we went to the zoo) but SHE didn't think that was good enough so after we dropped the boys off at school. Mommy and Daddy and Mallory went to Sushi which really is her favorite place to eat. The people just love her there and give her so much attention.
We finished up the day with going and riding the Merry-go-round at the Mall. We are not really sure if she liked it or not but check out Spencer in the background.
We love you Mallory! Just a few things about her...
-She loves people and will go to anybody. Seriously, today after her pictures we were waiting and she went up to another man waiting and held up her arms until he picked her up. She does this at church a lot. I am really going to have to watch her.
-She loves all things carbs. I really have to push the veggies and fruits with her. She hates bananas and not a huge fan of carrots. But she likes peas and green beans.
-She LOVES books. She almost always has a book in her hands. book was one of her first signs that she learned. She also really likes Balls
-All of her signs look the same, which happened with Preston too. All of Preston's looked like "more" and all of hers look like "finished".
-She is a GREAT dancer. Just like her dad she loves all music, including Russia techno and Taylor Swift.
-When she gets really sleepy she pumps her body-not really sure I can explain but it is something that I think is weird and want to remember.
-She has NO hair!!!

Spring Already

The weather has been so nice. I can't believe that Spring is already here. We keep waiting for it to get cold again. Until it does we will enjoy the warmer weather.

The boys went fishing at the pond that is in forest(park) behind our house. We LOVE these woods!!! They have been a source of some really great memories. They didn't catch anything and gave up 3 min. after this picture was taken. They haven't asked to go fishing since.
This is Mallory's first time walking in the woods.
We took a new trail and found this great climbing rock.
Over this last winter, Garett and the boys made this fort to keep them warm when they were out exploring. It is totally hidden and actually bigger then it looks. They have plans to add another room, a kitchen for me!?!I had to throw this picture in. Garett made cookies and the kids were having a hard time waiting for them to come out.

Valentine's Day

I am not really a big fan of Valentine's Day. I think it is just to much pressure. Pressure to have a someone special. Pressure to make it a special day. Pressure to not be left out. So I have never been much of a fan, even when I had boyfriends or husband, until this year. I love Valentine's Day with my KIDS!!!!There is no pressure with them, just tons of pink, sugar and fun!

Here are the boys shirts for the day. If you know my boys then you know that these shirts are perfect for them.
Here is Mallory's outfit. Every person that saw her couldn't help but say "Happy Valentine's Day". Yeah, it was a bit over the top.
Pink milk, with pink waffles with strawberry syrup and red sprinkles. The boys loved it, can't you tell!
We made a couple batches of sugar cookies and delivered them to friends and neighbors. Some of you reading this may wonder why you didn't get any cookies. Trust me I tried, we went out so many times to give them and it seemed like nobody was ever home. We ate more then we wanted to. In the future please make sure you stay home!
To finish off the day I gave in and got the boys Pillow Pets! They still tell me every night that they love them and they are so grateful I got them for them.
Happy Valentine's Day!!! (Sorta Late, HUH?)
