Vaughn Everett

First things first, I know you all want to see and hear about the baby but I took these pictures of the babies room last week and haven't had a chance to post them. I love the babies room. The colors the furniture, everything. I'm just going to comment on the things that I made...like these pillows and the valence.                                                                      

 This is the view from the family room. The babies room was originally going to be an office but it works so nicely as a babies room. The previous owners left that bench, well they left part of that bench and Garett and I made it into what you see. We added the legs and the top. It is super cute.

 I know it is side ways but give me a break I just had a baby. This is an old dresser from my parents house. It used to be in the boys room and ways just so very ugly. I painted it and now I love it. So perfect for a changing table.

 This room was an add on and when the added they literally just left the outside wall and attached the rest of the walls. So this wall was rough brown ugly wood. I sanded it down and added the paint and now it is my favorite wall in my house. That door you see goes into the master bath so literally this room is within 10 steps of my bed. I know the door is still ugly but all the door in the house are wood and I think that if I change one I have to change them all.

 Ok so introducing the baby who will live in this room.........
Vaughn Everett Jackson born on July 27th at 6:34pm weighing 7.1 lbs and 20 in long.

 Mallory loves baby, sometimes a little too much. Garett did her hair. Cute huh?

 Spencer is going through the "I don't know how to smile phase". But needless to say these boys are super proud and happy to finally have their new brother.

 First car trip to come home. He actually wasn't a happy camper but we caught this picture in between cries.

Bigelows

My sister and her family came to visit. We were super excited to have our first visitors, even if I was a little overwhelmed having just moved in and being prego. I still loved every minute. She has 4 boys. I didn't take a ton of pictures while she was here. Not sure why but here are the few we did take. 

Kristi and I took the younger kids to sea world while the teenagers went to six flags. It was really hot but they did pretty good. Above is them at the first show of the day. See all the smiles.

This is a show we went to right during the middle of the day. A little tired and a little hot.

Above and below are them at the last show. It was so hot and also 830 at night.

We also celebrated the 4th of July while they were here. I love our new neighborhood, they have this cute bike parade and then a lunch at the pool. We get our money's worth out of our HOA.

Mallory only made it halfway thur the parade before she fell asleep. I am not really sure how she did this but she was completely out.

My sister's family introduced us to the Horse races. It was so much fun. They have family nights. They had horse rides, face painting and 50 cents hotdogs and drinks. We had so much fun.

We have some natural caverns not to far from our house. I didn't go- I stayed home with Mallory but the boys had a blast and can't wait to do it again.

One of the last nights they were here the adults went on a date and left my teenage nephew home to babysit. When we got home he was totally asleep with his head on Mallory's lap and she was playing with his hair. The good news was that his head was pinning Mallory down so she couldn't get into trouble.

Thank you Bigelow's for coming to visit. We loved it and we love you all!!!

Spencer's 5

May 22nd Spencer turned 5. Yup right in the middle of moving and graduation. Being the amazing mom that I am I still found a way to make his birthday great!!

Normally we have cake for breakfast (OUR FAVORITE TRADITION) but he let us get away with donuts.

Auntie Sues was in town for graduation and her birthday was on the 16th so we sang to her too

I borrowed my friends snow cone machine and provided snow cones for Spencer's class. (Thank you Melissa)

He was so excited to open presents that he couldn't even make all the way into the house

Spencer is a super special kid. He has grown up and changed so much. He is the first to share with friends and family ( except for Mallory who he loves to torment). His favorite food is shrimp tacos and steak. He loves to swim and ride his rip razor. He is excited to start school but I am a little nervous since he still requires a lot of attention. He LOVES to snuggle. He has become a boy who like to sleep in and like to see how long he can sleep, I love that. If only he could teach Preston and Mallory that.  He speaks with a Boston accent, which we are not really sure where that comes from but he is having a really hard time correcting it. We really do love our Spencer!

Graduation

Graduation was a whirlwind of activities. I am so proud of my man. He worked hard, sacrificed much and learned tons. If asked if I would ever do Medical School again, the answer would be NO! It was hard and even though we grew a lot and made some really great friends, I would not want to do it again. I love you Doctor Jackson!                                                   

               Award Banquet

                He is so cute in Uniform! This is right after he was commissioned back into the army as a Doctor. It was by far my favorite part of the graduation weekend. The candidates got a standing ovation that lasted for a long time. Made me proud to be an American.

Congrats Garett!!

Another Gradutation and according to Spencer a "better and more fun one". I have to agree. Spencer graduated from Preschool. We will miss everyone at Pinegrove and everything. Anybody still in Winston Salem I highly recommend this place. The staff and teachers are amazing. Our favorites are Miss Donna (Spencer's teacher) and Miss Lori (director, and Mallory's all time favorite person)
