I Finished!!!!!

Before I begin I need to say a big Thank you to my Brother! He was an wonderful running partner. He kept me at pace and made me push myself. He was amazing, he ran every hill and even had a little something at the end to finish strong. I am proud of you and love you Lance.

For 3 months I woke up at 5:30 at least three times a week. I ran in the rain and snow and in single digits which made my hair turn to ice and my legs turn black and blue. I got numerous blister, lost three toe nails and had two bloody noses (in the same day, it was weird) and throw up twice-once on race day after I drank 3 Gatorade's and 32 ounces of water all within 30min, it was a little to much.  I think that most of this is out of the norm, I was special to experience so much but in the end it made finishing more special. I am not going to lie, I teared up a little. I think this is the biggest goal that I made and accomplished. It was also my first experience of taking a weakness and making it a strength (not really a strength yet but I continue to work on it---starting Monday!)
So with any good speech I have to list my Thank yous.  Without my two running partners this would never have happen, I would have slept in. My brother again for saying he would do it with me. And lastly the person who sacrificed the most was Garett. He woke up in the middle of the night with the boys and got up in the morning with the boys-they are very demanding in the morning. He gave up hours of study time and many hours on Saturdays. He rubbed my feet and listened to me complain about my crazy running partner who wanted to run in the freezing cold. Most important he believed in me, there was not a day that went by that he didn't tell me that he was proud of me and my running. I love you babe, Thank you!

Welcome to my thirties!

Best Friends Forever

How many of you can say that you are still friends with somebody who you have know since birth? Well our boys can and we hope to keep it that way until either they decided that they don't really like each other or until we get cooler friends then the Kimseys, chances of either happening are slim!

I study with Daddy

Usually the boys are "ok" when Garett is at home studying but they do have those days when they want daddy to stop studying and play with them. Saturday Spencer didn't want dad to play with him he wanted to study with him.

Spencer tried one door, but it was locked and Garett had headphones on and didn't even notice until I pointed out the sad little boy.
Then he tried the other door, stupid baby gate.

Then dad gave in and after just a few minutes of studying neuro/brain he was out. He slept for a long time like that so we are thinking about forgoing lullaby and just putting on some of Garett's lectures

RETRO SKATE NIGHT

I said I wanted a big party and that is just what I had. It was a blast. We semi rented  a rollar rink. We will never forget turning 30- which is good and bad but if you have to do it might as well make the most.
We had so much fun with all of our friends. Thanks to everybody who came!

Rachel's birthday

We got the tradition of  having cake for breakfast on our birthdays. This is the boys singing to me
on mine. So cute!

Garett is 30!!

Every year I try to make a big deal out of Garett's Birthday and most important I try to embarrass him. This year was one of my best if I do say so myself. I was so sneaky! So Garett's birthday was Monday which is when I usually run, so instead I went to his school and decorated the student lounge. (Thank to Richard who helped me in the morning and Suzi who did the posters).  After all of this his teacher had the whole class sing to him.  Happy Birthday Garett!

Sea World

This week is Spring Break and Garett doesn't have to study at all, yeah!!!!!! We decided that we would make a trip down to Florida and go to Sea World (since they are still letting Military Families in for free). We left Sunday after Church and drove to Savannah. The next day we went to the beach and then drove the rest of the way. Tuesday was spent all day at Seaworld. Our awesome hotel was just across the street so we walked to and from Sea World and also made a quick trip to the hotel for nap time. The boys had a blast seeing all and feeding all of the animals. We are already looking forward to next year.
Garett was already burnt (happened while putting together the playground), so he wasn't as happy to be at the beach as the rest of us.

The Boys loved playing in the sand!Playing on the kiddie rides, including Preston's first ever Rollercoaster. He loved it. Spencer was too little but we did sneak him on right as they were getting ready to close, he hated it.

Snow Day

I know this is a little late but the pictures are cute enough that I want to post them. We had a blast that day!! It was almost all gone the next day.

Mean guys

Preston loves to be the mean guy when the boys are playing. We keep telling him that nobody ever likes the mean guys, that he wants to be the superhero. However, he continues to try and "wack" Salta and Spencer. Last night I had enough and decided that if I made him a cape he would want to be the good guy for once. I grab some material I had and quickly made some capes. The boys had a blast running around with their "Superhero cakes" and fighting bad guys with their "sores"(which is the measuring cups)

All Sick!!

Being sick is a bummer. Being sick and having a sick kid who keeps you up all night is the worst. Being sick and having a sick kid who keeps you up all night and having another kids who is not sick but is taking advantage of you being sick and is destroying everything and you can't keep up and when you do try to pick up it hurts to bend over because your sinuses are so full of you know what is horribly the worst. However,  the true worst thing in the whole wide world is.........Being sick and having a sick kid who keeps you up at night and having another kids who is not sick but is taking advantage of you being sick and is destroying everything and you can't keep up and when you do try to pick up it hurts to bend over because your sinuses are so full of you know what AND you have sick husband!!!
(No picture is added because I don't want my mom to see how dirty my house is because it will only reminder her of when I was in high school)
