Salta has a few annoying habits that really drive me crazy. She barks when somebody knocks or rings the doorbell. She is just trying to protect the house, but for a little dog she is so loud (and I usually have a baby sleeping). Also she is the worlds worst dog on a leash. Not that she pulls or can't walk right(she lets Preston walk her), no, she is just mean. She doesn't like anybody to touch her when she is walking, she gets in a zone. Lastly, she does not like children. Her curse is that she will forever look like a puppy and every kid loves puppies. Not every child is mean but in general she has learned that kids are not careful and are way to lovey dovey, so she snaps at them which scares most of them. However, there are a few who think it is funny and continue to bug her (Xander and Spencer).
She will never admit it but she really does love Preston and Spencer. When she thinks we are not looking she gives them kisses. And on a few occasions she has shown how protective she is of them. For instance, when I was visiting my parents my brother came over with his daughters who love babies. So when they immediately went to Spencer and picked him up without her knowing who they were, she freaked out, barking and growling until they put Spencer down. Of course after she realized that I knew them and they were OK, she was glad for them to take Spencer away from her.

Not funny, sweet. You can't forget your first kid. Salta is so cute. Happy 5th! Have Spencer throw some food on the ground from us. : )
