Spencer

All of you know that Spencer was not a good baby. In fact he was horrible. However, I have continued to think of him in those terms, which are not true anymore. I am not saying that he is a good kid but he is not a bad kid either. He is just Spencer. I have never met another kid who is anything like him. He makes me laugh everyday and cry just as often. He makes my heart race when he hurts himself, which is a lot since he really is accident prone (see previous post). He is way too smart for his own good. He can make you deaf with his screams which is really the only way he knows how to talk.He gives the best hugs and kisses and randomly tells you he loves you, which I think is a defense mechanism. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am going to be more positive about my Spencer because I could not imagine life without him. He has taught me so much during his little life. I can't wait to see what he will do or come up with next. Plus, if I can still be sane after his childhood then I can do anything.
Having said all this, I still hope this little girl is more like Preston, especially during her infant stage.
I love you Spencer!

Cave

Every night before I can go to bed I have to walk around the house and find out where are my pillows. I never knew that pillows could be the best toy ever. Our pillows have been rockets to the moon, a birds nest, the center of the earth, and so much more. Today they were a cave. The boys covered most of their bed with the pillows but left a door so that the baby bears (them) could go and hibernate.

Please notice Spencer's face. That split is from jumping on the couch when told not to!

I Have been to Lazy

It is not that I didn't want to blog. It was that every time I had a chance, the camera to download pictures would be downstairs and I was upstairs or visa verse. So here are a bunch of pictures of a few of the things we have been doing.
Daddy and Preston wearing matching ties. Sooooo Cute!!!
Preston and Spencer being eaten by the giant baby teeth at the science museum.
Preston skating on the frozen pond all by himself. Yes it was cold enough for the pond by our house to freeze.
Spencer and Daddy skating. We all went out on the pond, even Salta and I. Good thing we bought ice skates in Canada last year.

Baby Girl

Just a quick update. I am still Prego. I am averaging going to the bathroom about 4 times a night. I have had one huge craving for Chili's chips and salsa, which sounds really good right now! We still don't have a name picked out for her and we are no where close to finding one, so we have started looking into symbols (only some of you will get that joke, maybe not the older crowd). And look at the picture below, she has a nose and hair, yeah!!

Sweet Dreams

Spencer is either doomed to be fat or I don't feed him enough. Why might I say this, well for the last month or so Spence will talk in his sleep about food. He is not awake but is very adamant about what he wants to eat. These dreams or cravings are not just in the middle of the night, they happen during nap time too. Sometimes he will actually wake up but most of the time he just keeps sleeping. A few times he has waken in the morning and still craving whatever last nights dream was and then gets mad when I tell him no or that we don't have any Hot Pockets. His cravings are the weirdest things to, such as Hot Chocolate, granola bar, Hot Pocket (which I think he has had once in his life and it was recently), Bananas and a few more.

Not recommended for Children

Garett watched the boys last night while I was at class, so of course they went to the movie store! They decided on Kung Fu Panda. Most of you have seen it. How did your kids act afterwards? My turned into ninjas and started to beat up dad, which I thought was funny. Then they started to beat up each other, not as funny. Then they started to beat up the water in the bathtub, starting to get old. Then they started to beat up me, and that is when I decided that Kung Fu Panda is the worst movie ever.
However, I still do laugh when they start singing, "Everybody was Kung fu fighting, quick as lighting"

Preston is 4

Preston is a big boy now. He can have gum, wipe his own bum, and protect the new baby when she comes. He had a very good birthday. We started off by having cake for breakfast which is a tradition I got from a friend and we love it. Later during the day we took them to the mall to jump on these cool trampolines. Then he got to pick where we went out to dinner, with a little encouragement he chose sushi.
Then on the 1st we had a little party. I kind of threw it together at the last minute cause I could never figure out a time that worked best. It turned out great. He had 7 friends over for a dinosaur party. And of course we had a pinata, having learned that tradition from a different friend. My friend makes all of her pinatas and I made Spencer's but this time I didn't have enough time so I had to buy it, I was really sad about that. The cake was the best part of the party. I thought it turned out so cute and I was so sad when I had to cut it up.

Preston getting ready to jump! Spencer and him got to go at the same time and they were laughing to hard every time the saw each other in the air.

Preston going really wanted the Candy and couldn't focus on the hitting. Luckily for us we had some professionals (the Smith Kids) they really cracked it open.
When the Smith Kids couldn't finish it off, Garett and Dave ripped a branch off of our tree and had a little fun. They said they were just trying to help.
This is my totally cute cake.

You can't tell from this picture but this is Caleb popping the dino egg. He was AWESOME! He used his teeth and nails and had no mercy on those balloons.
