Just some random pictures

We have the coolest playroom. And because we are cool parents we made it even cooler and put up a rock wall and a swing. This was like the mid way point of the rock wall.
In November, two of our most favorite people came to visit. Auntie Sues and Ms. Imelda. I didn't hold Vaughn or change a diaper the whole weekend, but that is not the reason we love them just a bonus.

So back to the coolest playroom, yeah we can rope climb out of the barn door. It's pretty rad.
Oh, and we also have the coolest HOA. They hosted a breakfast with Santa. Well after Santa was done visiting with the kids he decided to come play on the playground. It was so much fun. My kids who know the truth about Santa thought it was the best.

The kids and I decided that daddy was working to much so we left him and went to Phoenix for Christmas. Thank you Grandma for driving to and fro with me and these cute kids in Christmas PJs
Before we left we did give Garett some presents. If you can't tell what he got, that is a grill starter. I am a cool wife like that.
 Christmas morning!!!

Preston with his birthday cake breakfast. I am not sure what face he is making but it is the best shot I got of him.
Preston and mommy on a date at Denny's for free birthday breakfast.
He is such a stud, and a he is also a whole lot bigger now.
The only snow the boys saw this winter....in El Paso.
 Preston's birthday Volcano
Vaughn's first taste of food. He loved it so very much
Mallory making sure that Daddy know what he is doing. What would he do with out her.
I think we are finally caught up with picture. Maybe I can be a regular poster now. Hmmmmm

Legit

I finally have a real reason as to why I am a slacker on updating my blog. "All our computers broke...at the same time". Yup, all of our computers broke down. I was left with just my ipod to communicate with which means I couldn't blog. So I have a ton of pictures to show you all. My family is so cute!

Let's start in Feb. since I can't go all the way to December cause those pictures are on the broken computer.
I am pretty proud of our V-day breakfast.

At the end of Feb. Garett got a half day followed by a day off. We decided we needed to take advantage of all the time off. (said sarcastically) We headed down to Corpus Christi. If was perfect tempeture but super windy. That didn't keep my kids out of the water. Vaughn is now 7 months and so cute.

Last week Preston's teacher who absoultly love him. Invited us to go to her husbands firehouse. They got to spray the hose, take a ride around the block and climb all over the engine. Pretty cool!

Yes, Mallory is all decked out in her fluffy pink dress and cowboy boots.
This picture was taken back in December. Mallory is in my closet on a shelf thing I have in there. She found some of the Christmas gifts I had hidden. She looks pretty proud of herself. Oh and she doesn't have pants on. This is how random my daughter is.
Here is just some pictures of Vaughn. They are just a little old.

The world is my stage

Mallory is a dancer. At a year and a half she was shaking her booty to the beat of any music. At 2 she started doing an arabesque while I tried doing her hair. So when we moved to San Antonio I was determined to find a dance class that would take a 2 1/2 year old and find one I did. Needless to say she loves it. They moved her up to the next level after a few weeks, not that I am bragging or anything. However, she is still very much a 2 year old and is not the best listener, if they could move her back down I am pretty sure they would.
She loves all music and loves to sing to all music. Her favorites are "I'm sexy and I know it" and "Here's my number so call me maybe". In my defense I am not the one who introduces her to music, which is why some of her other favorites are Russia techno and indie pop.
She will dance anywhere and anytime. Friday we went to the grocery store and she was playing with the arcade games while waiting for me, yep they had a great beat so she started to boogie. She is always on top of our coffee table, kitchen counter and bathroom sink dancing to her own music. Her favorite is when one of her brothers will give into her and dance with her, always to the tune of "Once upon a dream" (sleeping beauty).
Tonight was the best. We went over to some friends house and as we were getting ready to leave, the moms where chatting and the kids where playing in the front yard and in their cul de sac. Mallory has never know such freedom of running around. Well after a little bit a car comes, so we shout "CAR" and all the other kids move to the side walk. Mallory goes deer in the headlight for a second, literally the headlights are right on her. So of course she does what every dance is supposed to do when the spot light hits them. She starts doing her ballet  moves. She cracks me up! Where did I get her from.

Just another side note. Tonight we made and gave some banana bread to our neighbors. Mallory was so excited to give it to Ms. Stacey. She rang the door bell gave them the bread and then started running away. After about 5 step she say " They took my bread" "I don't have anymore bread" "Why did they take my bread". Crying, Whining while saying this. I had to quickly explain to her that we had more in the house.

Reverse Trick or Treat

So normally this is how Halloween goes for us. We decide as a family (or just mom) what we are going to be. Mom goes crazy getting all the costumes together. We go to our church Halloween party and everybody tells us how amazing and funny and cute our costumes are and mom pats herself on the back. Then Halloween night the kiddos get to decided what they want to be (usually something we already have or something that can be thrown together cheaply). We end with a huge amount of candy that mom eats way to much of. We love Halloween!
Ok so here is what happened this Halloween. 1st we find out that Garett will not be with us on Halloween because he has to be in the field (at camp Bullis which is literally 10 miles away). Bummer. Fine the kids and mom decides what we are going to be without dad. Mom starts to buy stuff for costumes. Then we find out that our church doesn't really do a Halloween party just a trunk or treat. What is that all about, the candy is the worst part of the holiday. And if there is no party then nobody is really going to oh and ah over my cute family dressed up together. Huge Bummer. Fine Mom declared that it is a free for all Halloween. Everybody chooses for themselves. Well except for Mallory (I already bought fabric for hers) and Vaughn (he can't talk so he doesn't get to choose). So........

                        Mallory is Dorothy. Super cute!
Preston is a Vampire. Then later on in the night some adult asked him if he was Dracula, he then asked me who that was, then he started telling people that he was Dracula.
Spencer is a bat. He didn't really care about the costume he was truly in it for the candy.
And Vaughn is "where's Waldo". I was Where's Waldos mom but there is no pictures of me so believe me I look just like him, fat gut and all.

Salta is a Zebra. If I had to do it again, I would turn the strips the other way.

So we went to the church trunk or treat and everybody told me how cute my kids were but I just keep thinking that if they only knew how cute they could have been. Then the next night my friend Katie came over (her hubby was at the same field training as Garett) and we went trick or treating in our neighborhood, which just to re-comfirm, I LOVE MY NIEGHBORHOOD. We were just finishing up when Garett called about 7pm saying they were done with their training but he had to stay there for the night. So I made a quick decision and we loaded up in the car to go see Dad. When we got there the boys had there candy bags and asked if they could share with the soldiers. (I was a proud mama, they wanted to give away their candy). So we called it reverse trick or treating. It was so much fun. The soliders loved it and my boys loved it even more. However, I thought they got rid of so much candy but when we got home we still had so much. Snickers with almonds was my favorite this year.

Just a side note. This picture below is Spencer getting stitches in our friends kitchen when he ran into our car door at our church party last year.
This picture is Preston getting his eye glued together in our kitchen by a friend after he ran into another kid at school and it just happened to be the same night of our churches trick or treat. Hopefully I don't see a pattern starting.

It's 90 degrees so it must be Fall

Here is another picture post. You know what those are right? When you don't really have time to post or your just lazy so you up load a ton of pictures and call it good. I am really good at Picture posts.
Vaughn is a chunk a burning love. He is a very big boy! He also has the best smile EVER!
On day last month it was actually crisp. It was my favorite day in San Antonio yet.
These next 2 pictures make me laugh. We took the kids to the playground to play but when we got there we found three big holes from trees that where taken out of the ground. They spent the entire time playing in the holes and dirt. I hate to tell our HOA that they wasted their money getting the nice new playground.

Vaughn did go down the slide and enjoyed it as much as a 2 month old can enjoy something like that.
The above picture is classic. Spencer is one of those kids that always puts his shoes on the wrong feet. But because he is Spencer and so special he goes above and beyond the shoes. Look closely at this picture. He put his sweater vest on under his shirt. Somedays he has his pant and shirt on backwards and his shoes on the wrong feet. Hopefully he can master dressing himself before he moves out of my house.
The kids really wanted me to take a picture of all of them together. Vaughn wasn't excited about it.

We went to 2 pumpkin patches this month. Both had a lot of great activities for the kids. Here is Mallory trying to fish.
Preston took fishing very seriously and really wanted to catch something but after about an hour he finally gave up. I am impressed he tried for so long.
 Hayride around the christmas trees

Look how cute he is. Preston slept just like this and he is our best sleeper today so maybe that is a good sign.
 My little animals!
 Lost in the corn maize.

Mallory is presenting this years pumpkins.

This maybe one of the last pictures you see of Garett for a while. His schedule is about to get crazy!
