What our baby girl might look like.....

The day I found out I was having a girl, my friend Sara bought me this really cute outfit. The boys wanted to pretend they were babies. I personally think Spencer makes a pretty cute girl.
By the way this is a 3 month outfit.

A little behind....

So everybody has excuses why they stop blogging for awhile. Mine is the same as it always is. My computer broke. I have finally got a chance to use Garett's so here is what we have been up to.
Preston was in his very first Primary Program. He memorized his part and said it perfectly! Of course I cried like a baby but blamed it on Prego hormones.

The boys started gymnastics and love it. Spencer's class is just a mommy and me and not really worth the money but Preston's is awesome and he is learning lots. However, it is really expensive so they will not be doing it very much longer. I don't know who will miss it more, me or the boys.
The children's theatre was doing a blue's clue play for a pretty good price. The boys loved it, and I was the coolest mom for the day!
Finally, Grandma Moore sent the boys these Knight costumes. Making her the coolest Grandma of the week!!!!

It's a...

Once we found out the sex of our baby Rachel told me that it would alter the course of my medical education. Rather then going into a field that I love, I have to choose something that pays well (hopefully I can find something that does both).

Now, I am not sure if that has to do with Rachel's desire to buy cute little girl clothes, or to pay for a future wedding (along with a possible mission and helping with college), but either way it will be exciting and different to have a little girl in the house. There were other pictures showing the sex, but I already feel like an overprotective dad and don't want her to be immodest, so I wont be posting them here.

Rachel is getting less and less sick and the baby seems to be doing well from the imaging we had yesterday. We also broke the news to our boys about the pregnancy. Spencer requested to take the baby out now so we could play with it. Preston was super excited, and asked how it got in there.

Early Ultrasound

Since Rachel had her $12,000 appendectomy surgery a couple weeks ago (fortunately we already met our deductable this year) they wanted to get her in for an early ultrasound to make sure baby was doing good. Since she is just 12.5 weeks along we couldn't tell the sex yet, so we will keep you posted on that. Her due date is still March 21st.

We think it is a boy based on how he is laying:

Hummus

2 weeks ago Garett bought some hummus opened it and had just a little. Sunday after church Garett gets said hummus out to snack on while making lunch. I had a few bites but was already not feeling great, where as Garett ate the rest of the container. 2 hours later Garett is complaining of stomach ache. 3 hours later we head off to a small get together with friends with neither one of us feeling great. Sunday night Garett gets a fever and the chills. Since I am prego and have pills for this sort of thing, I feel good enough to get our boys to bed. 3 in the morning, Garett can't sleep and is on the computer---sure enough, Hummus can cause food poisoning. Monday Garett is on the mend but no where near feeling good. I am sicker then I have ever been in my life, which is saying a lot since what I have been going through lately. Not even drugs help out. It is early Tuesday morning and I can't sleep, partly because I feel asleep at 8 pm.

So what does all this mean.....
1. Guilt. Yep, I have huge guilt. You see, Garett is an amazing husband and he has truly been running the house and serving me night and day but 2 weeks ago when I was having appendix pain before we found out it was appendix pain, Garett was stressed out because school was starting and he had a lot of other things going on. Let's just say he was not the nicest to me on that day as I was dying. So I said a little prayer asking that he somehow learn to have a little more sympathy. I mean the guy can't even remember the last time he felt sick. My prayer was answered this weekend and I feel a little bad, but I can't tell you how many times Garett said he is sooooo sorry I feel so sick all the time!
2. It also means that we really are not planning on having anymore kids. We won't write it in stone but for sure writing it in permanent ink!!

Yummy

If I am in the car for longer then 15 min. I get sick. Really sick. So when we decided to go to Ft. Bragg for a quick trip I knew it would be bad. Needless to say when we got home a little while ago I did not feel like making dinner. So I quickly made cheese crisp for the boys and let Garett figure something for himself. After eating 2 cheese crisp Preston turns to me and says "Mommy you are the bestest cook ever!'' Gotta love it.

Things I want to Remember:

Preston is 3 1/2. His favorite color is Orange. His favorite toy is bear. He loves chicken, sushi, fruit, lettuce and chocolate. He has learned to wrestle and practices on his brother. His favorite movie is still anything backyardigans. He love to play Knight is shining armor to kill the dragon (Salta) and save the Princess (Mommy).  He makes up songs all day long and shakes his booty. He is learning to write his name by himself and loves preschool. He just learned how to buckle himself in the car! He loves primary, especially singing time but never really sings. He loves books. His favorite friends to play with are Spencer, Caleb, Ethan and Camden.  He wants to be a Daddy when he grows up.  He always prays for the kids that don't have toys and for mommy to have a baby girl.

Spencer is 2.  He talks like he is 3. His favorite color is Camo.  He has a camo blanket that he demands he sleeps with. His favorite food is cheese and candy. His favorite toys are cars or whatever Preston is playing with. He loves the idea of watching a movie but never watches for longer then 5 min.  He gets super mad when Preston eats all of his pretend ice cream and there is no more to make.  He hates putting on Pull Ups even if it is just at nap and bed, we now have to call them Calvin Kliens underwear (thanks Lance) to trick him. It doesn't always work. He prefers going Commando( too much info) and loves wearing anything Jean. He hates nursery but want to go to preschool. He thinks his name starts with "P" but sounds like "S". He loves to play in mommy's bathroom and do his hair and has done Preston's hair for church a few times. He love, love, loves books and will read to himself. He has the world's smallest bladder. He loves playing fireman (Woo Woo) and saving mommy from burning up. His favorite friends are Preston and anybody smaller then him to beat up and pick on. He gives the best kisses. He prays for silly grandpa that picks his nose. He hates when he crys and crys and crys.
