Mallory is 2

Mallory is 2!!! And she makes sure that we all know it.

She loves being a girl and wearing pretty dresses. Actually, she loves anybody wearing a dress. She tells me..."Pretty dress mommy, I love it". And she knows that pink is a girl color and since she is the only girl anything that is pink is....."MINE".

She loves to "help make" in the kitchen. She loves to dance and has enough junk in her truck to make her booty shaking look great. She doesn't eat breakfast which we all find a little weird since we are all huge breakfast eaters. What is even weirder is that she doesn't like ice cream but she loves milk. Her favorite food is steak. She loves books. For her birthday she got her ears pierced and loves her "pretties". She is a climber like Spencer and thinks that she can climb on top of the playground like Spencer.  About a week after her birthday she decided she was done with diapers and just like that she was potty trained. She has had just a handful of accidents but has dry naps and nights so we are really saving money. Her best friend is a little girl named Iris and she will stand up in the middle of church and yell. "Hi, Iris".  Overall, we love this little girl and I am glad to have her.

Garetts birthday

Garett's birthday is a big deal for us. As you all should know I try to do something unexpected and something embarrassing. Well this year he got off easy. However, it will probably be the birthday he remembers most. I got Garett tickets to the NCAA tournament! I got the tickets before we knew who was playing so we totally lucked out. Also when I bought the tickets I didn't know that I got two games. The first was Lehigh and Duke, which if you where watching this year you know that it was a huge upset and an overall great game. In fact it was so good that I can't even recall who the second game was with. Garett hates Duke and really enjoyed cheering for the underdog. Even though he almost made the 6 yr old boy sitting next to him cry (he was a huge Duke fan). It was a great birthday, great date and a great game! Happy Birthday Garett!

This is Garett on the phone with his dad bragging about how awesome his wife is for getting him these tickets. Actually he was bragging about the game but really that is the same thing right?
The next day we went on a hike and enjoyed the awesome weather we were having.
Cute Kids, huh?

It's a Boy!

This last weekend we saw some of Garett's extended family and it was brought to our attention that we haven't officially announced that we are having another baby.

WE ARE EXPECTING!!!

Baby Boy Jackson will be joining our family in August. We have no idea what to name him so any idea or thoughts will be helpful. The name has to be 7 letters long. I know I am a weirdo but it is what it is.

The kids are super excited, especially Miss Mallory!

Valentines Day

I am not a big fan of Valentine's day, not as far as doing couple things and buying couple presents, etc. I do love enjoying with my kids and making it just a really fun holiday. However, I have come to realize that I do care about the couple dates and couple present and couple lovey dovey stuff when I am prego. I am not sure why, maybe it is my lack of confidence that comes during all my pregnancies or maybe it is just that I have extra hormones. Whatever the reason I DEMAND that Garett goes all out on Valentines day (when I am prego) and this year he did not let me down. He surprised me with a date to the Melting Pot. This is a place that I have always wanted to go to, and because of the price it will most likely be the last time we go to it. We had a great time and it was sooooo good.

I love you Garett.
You are the best and I am so glad that you are my Valentine every day!

Just some pictures of us!

Sunday mornings have become a day when we go all out on breakfast. Wait I meant to say that Garett goes all out on breakfast. He makes things that we normally don't have time for the rest of the week. Here are the kids waiting for a German Pancake.

We were all ready, hair done, shoes on and early for church so we took a picture. Cute family, huh?
This winter has been extremely warm, so we went camping in January. Garett found this awesome place that let us have the group site for cheap. We invited all our friends but only the F family came with us to bear the cold. It really wasn't that bad. See Garett and Mr. Kris don't even have jackets on. Kris is an amazing cook and we were privileged to have him make dinner for us and dessert.
The next day the temperature dropped but the kids still insisted that we do a little GeoCaching. Here they are holding up their treasures.
The first of February all the kiddos went t the Dentist. It was Mallory's first time ever. She did pretty good and we are proud that nobody has cavities.
We are loving our last few months here in Winston Salem but are also looking for to moving to San Antonio this summer!

Preston turned 6 (like a month ago)

Preston enjoying cake for Breakfast! We love this tradition. This was on his "real" birthday but his party didn't happen for a few weeks after.
My kids love having pinatas but I always for get about making them until it is to late. Last year for Spencer's party I found how to make this super simple pinata. It take about 30 mins and my kids think it is cool and that is all that matters, right?

We had a Scooby-Doo party which was super cool and a lot of fun. It was also super easy to do. Garett still brags about it. Seriously, if you kids like Scooby then you should do this party. Email me and I will give you all the details. The only problem is I didn't want to make a Scooby cake and I don't buy them so I had to figure out something. You can never go wrong with candy on top of frosting on top of cake.

Each activity we did would revolve around the kids getting clues so they could solve the mystery of the Cake Phantom. The pinata had candy but it also had dog bones with clues on it.
Here they are after they just killed a room full of Ghosts and they are trying to put all the clues in the right order.  Luckily we had some really great reader.
And finally they figured out who stole the cake. If anybody knows Garett you know that this was his favorite part. He was hiding in the front eating the cake until they figured out the last clue. The best part is when Garett told the kids "I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids"
Look how cute he is looking at his cake. He is just like his dad, only goes to the party for the cake.

And I have to add this cause she is just to cute.

Preston is an amazing kid. He loves PB and J sandwiches and gets mad when I try to put something else in his lunch and he hates school lunches. He is such a great big brother especially to Mallory. She loves to dance with somebody right now and even though he would rather not he dances with her for a long time. He is still VERY social and is pretty good about making sure everybody has a friend. He still can't wait until he is a teenager. His favorite color is still orange but has decided to expanded to green and wants me to paint his next room these two colors-um no! He still struggles to read, but has the most amazing comprehension on books he does read or are read to him. He is sad when we plan something to do during the day and he has to go to school.  He is also the fastest kid I know!
We Love you, Preston!

HoHoHoly Cow I haven't blogged Christmas yet!

Mallory got a new kitchen but I didn't get to finish it and make it as awesome as I wanted because it just go to cold. Hopefully, this summer I can get it finished.

This last October Spencer and Preston learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels so they both got upgrades.
Garett and I kept our old Computer knowing that someday we would want it for our kids. What a cheap gift. We are so Awesome.
Preston really wanted a skateboard. He was postive that if we got him one the teenagers on our street would let him play with them and he would be a teenager himself. Needless to say he can't really do it and has given up the dream of being a teenager at age 6.
My cute family all dressed in their Christmas best!

Auntie Sues was here to celebrate and she was the best gun shooter. She still holds records.

Um hope you all had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
