Way to use your head!

Mallory has only rolled over once. I don't think she is going to do it again because she has found a new mode of transportation. Does the title give it away? She gets her knee under her an pushes herself forward on her head. I really am glad that she is developing and growing but really her head. She will never grow hair if she keeps rubbing it off!
Even with no hair, Mallory continues to be a joy. She loves her brothers and tolerates there roughness (we have truly discovered why they put a five point harness on baby swings). She laughs just like her dad, which tells you all how Garett's real laugh is like. When she cries she sounds like a little piggy. We went to the doctors for her 4 month appontiment and she weighs 14.6lbs. which is huge but still in the 50%. I forgot to ask about height. She had to get 2 shots and she was so unhappy about that. I am so excited to bring her to Az in a month and show her off.

Space Ship

My 4 year old slept in a pack and play all last week. I wish I would have gotten a picture, it was rather funny. We originally put it up in our room for our friends baby. Both the boys loved climbing in and playing. Then one day Preston announces that he was going to sleep in our room with us. No Way!! So I moved the pack and play to his room, right next to his bed.Every nap and at night he would climb into the pack and play and go to sleep. To him it wasn't a crib for babies, it was a space ship, a fort, a big boat.
He slept great in there but Garett thought it was a little weird so he took it down. Don't worry he wasn't depressed about it,he started putting chairs together to make a dog store where they sale dog treats.
Preston has the greatest imagination!!!

Finally a new post!

I have had a few people ask me when I was going to update my blog. Well prepare yourself for a very long post cause I have a lot to catch up on........

We celebrated Spencer's 3rd birthday. This is his "happy face" as we sing to him. I love Spencer, so far his 3rd year has been his best year.
Spencer's awesome birthday cake. I think his cake turned out great, it tasted great too. Notice the 30 candle. I couldn't find regular candles and this had a three in it so I thought it worked. the brown dirt area is a garden by the way.

We had a small graduation party for Preston's co-op preschool. Spencer spent half the year going(right after I had Mallory, the other moms felt sorry for me) to preschool with Preston so he graduated too.

These pictures are not really in order. This is a picture of my cute family today, all wearing our red, white and blue. I love the 4th of July. This nation is truly great!
Seriously, could she be any cuter. I made that bow this morning before church.
Mallory finally smiled at Garett. She won't look at him for the longest time. Then she won't smile at him, just stare at him like he was a freak. Now she loves him and they have a fun time laughing together. Except when he runs her head into the wall, oops.
I know this is a super bad picture but the boys took swim lessons this month. This is them with their teacher, Ms. Stephaine.
Don't let this picture trick you, Mallory is not a good car baby. This must be the only time she has ever smiled in her carsear.
For Father's Day I made G a grill cake. It was way cuter in person.
My pal Julie and kids met up with us in Raleigh at the Marble museum. Super fun place, we didn't even get to play with half of the stuff they have there. This is Preston and his best friend Caleb dressed up as firemen. I swear I did not tell Preston to do that face, but he looks like he could handle anything.
This is Morgan. She is Auntie Sues dogs. We watched her for 3 weeks and I am so glad that the boys didn't kill her. They loved her a little to much if you know what I mean.
Ever time we get together with Julie we take a picture of our girls. They are 3 weeks apart. Catalina loves to smile and laugh, and she has the best dimples. Mallory is still super cute even though she won't smile.
We went to a Dash game. It was a lot of fun, we can't wait to go again at the end of this month.

We went to this awesome park, however we really didn't get to enjoy it because it poured on us. Me and the boys are having a picnic waiting for the storm to pass. Which is never did.
Malli love to take baths.
Preston finished up playing soccer for the season and got a trophy. I think he only kicked the ball once, and that was when the coach force him to. He is so proud of this thing. He slept with it for a couple of weeks before I could convince him to put it on his shelf.
Garett family came into town for memorial day weekend. It was so much fun to have them here. The boys LOVE them, especially uncle Tom. This is Garett cousin Elizabeth.
This is Aunt Vikki. Mallory loved to snuggle with them all.

These little piggies

Some girls say they can't leave the house without mascara, or without getting dressed. Well for me it is I can't show my feet unless I have my toes painted. I get pedicures on a regular basis ( I made sure it was added to the budget).
So why am I blogging about this, nobody cares about my feet. Well ever since Mallory was born I have had her in shoes or at least socks. I wouldn't let her leave the house unless she had either. I thought I was doing this because I am a good mom and don't want her feet to get cold, however sub-consciencely I couldn't let her naked feet be seen. So yesterday I gave her a little pedi and today at church she showed off her cute little piggies!

Failure to Launch

So has anybody seen Failure to Launch. The part in the movie when the girl is kept awake all night by a mocking bird and wants to kill it with a shotgun. I totally understand where she is coming from. There is a mocking bird that lives in the tree across the street, it is so loud we thought it was in our tree. It keeps Preston up and gives Spencer really weird, scary dreams. So if you see me on the news for putting a bullet hole in my neighbors window, please testify for me and let the judge know about the bird.
Ok on to blogging....

My kids are so funny and I know I have a million things to blog about but every time I sit down to write my mind goes blank. I have been having a lot of trouble with my mind ever since Mallory was born. Let's get to know our family....
Garett- is now a third year, which means he is now doing rotations. He started off in Internal Medicine (very long hours and lots to learn). I can't really say if he loves it or not. I think he is just focused on not over dosing anybody and staying awake. He has done a few night calls and has a few more. The boys miss him terrible and Mallory won't even look at him (it is actually really funny, she really won't make eye contact with him). However, I am proud of him and am enjoying hearing about people rather then book facts.
Rachel- I am learning to balance life with 3 kids. I am so far from being in a routine. My house is dirty all the time and dirty laundry is taking over our house. I am forgetting everything and it is driving me crazy. However, I love my kids and at the end of the day, even though my house looks like I did nothing, I feel good about what I did get done and little by little feel like I can handle it all.
Preston- He is almost done with his second year of co-op preschool. He is "playing" soccer. He loves bugs and caught a bee last week and wanted to keep it as a pet. He has officially lost any and all baby fat and very much looks like a boy and not a little kid. He has the best reading comprehension for somebody who can't even read yet. (We just finished Charlotte Web). He is allergic to sunscreen. He eats sooo much food consistently now. He and Spencer have pet crabs now. He hates his hair to be washed and shockingly has an opinion on how long and how to style his hair. His favorite color is still orange. He is working on being a gentleman by opening doors for girls. He loves to talk and will talk to everybody. He knows all the answers at church (at least that is what his teacher tells us, maybe he should practice what he preaches). Below is a picture of him with a "collar" he made for Salta on Mother's day.
Mallory is my Joy. I love her so much. She is such a good baby. She is sleeping about 6 to 7 hours at night. She scrunches her nose when she smiles, which she does all the time, except when dad is around. She does not like it when I eat Chocolate or Nuts. She loves her binky and likes her face covered when she sleeps (which I hate). She also likes to be really warm when she sleeps, which I think she got from taking so many naps with Grandma and her many blankets. She finally fits nicely into her clothes so playing dress up is fun now.
Spencer is Spencer. We love him! He will be 3 in a few days but he acts like he is a 5 year old. He loves book to be read to him. He loves to climb and has really mastered the art of climbing trees. He screams all the time and we can't figure out how to stop him. He loves his sister and will sit there and play with her as long as she will let him. Sometimes he gets invited to go to Preschool with Preston and he loves it. He hates to clean up and usually has Preston do it for him (Preston always gives in to Spencer). He loves eating green onions from our garden but never really gets bad breath which is weird and awesome! He talks in his sleep and will sometimes have a conversation with you. His favorite color is Blue. He can not sit still and can not sit by himself, he has to be on or by somebody.

Camping

Yes we are the world's worst parents. We took our infant who was really sick a week ago camping. Sometimes I wonder what on earth I am thinking when I do certain things. Never the less it was totally a blast and Mallory slept 7 hours something she hadn't done before and hasn't done since, so I think we should go camping every weekend. We went to stone mountain. Really nice camping grounds and nice hikes.

We let the boys play in the river. We didn't have shorts they could wear so they just went in their underwear and thought that was super weird since we are not allowed to show our underwear. After about 5 min. Spencer fell in and got his shirt and underwear all wet and wanted to change. Well I didn't have anymore underwear so he went commando which he preferred.

After Easter I buy a ton a peeps so we can roast them for smores. So good, I suggest that everybody try them.
This is what Mallory slept in. I like to call it the abominable snow baby.
If you read the sign it says use caution! "Fatalities have occurred here"
Mallory just loved chilling around the camp fire. Good times
I just love this baby!!!!!!!
Spencer the sausage. And yes he did fall out of this so many times we had to lower it. And when that didn't help we just took it down.

What can I say...

So I promised myself that when the baby came I wasn't going to stop doing fun things with the boys. However, I have figured out that I can either do fun things or I can have fun blogs but I can't do both. So until further notice I will be doing picture posts of all the fun things we are doing.

This is Mallory in her cute Sunday outfit. I love playing dress up with her. Again Thank you to Robyn who made all of her cute bows
My friends Julie and her boys came up this weekend. They truly are our best friends. One of the days we took the boys to the forest to play in the creek. They had a blast. However, a lady who was walking in the woods wanted to make sure I knew that cooperhead snakes live in those waters. Yikes! But we will totally be doing it again, it is just way to much fun (plus it sounds like another ER visit for Spencer)
Love this picture of Presto. I love his eyes. It is really too bad that Mallory is going to have brown eyes.
This is Julie's Baby Catalina who was born just three weeks before Mallory. She looks like she is double the size but really she is not. The Kimsey's just have big heads (physically, mentally and metaphorically ;-)
Earlier in the week, Julie and I met at the zoo, which is in between Ft. Bragg and our house. The boys had a blast and we stayed until they kicked us out.
Preston is old enough to play soccer. He is so cute. And since the boys are so close in age you can't get shin guards for one and not the other so here they are posing in there soccer gear.
Just a random picture. I just gave them haircuts the day before and took Spencer really short and I think he looks so cute.
Garett told the boys about having a lemonade stand, so they decided to open one up in our kitchen. They opened crystal light packets and poured them into any kind of container they could find, clean or dirty. I am not really sure what I was doing but I wasn't watching my boys that is for sure. My kitchen floor is still a little sticky!
All of my kiddos.
Mallory is finally smiling but it is not very often, so I had to post this picture even though Preston look so mad. He really wasn't.
